Colombo, Feb 23: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday arrived in Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit at the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa.
This is the first visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan since taking office.

Prime Minister Khan was awarded the Guard of Honor.
He is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Trade and Investment Adviser Abdul Razzaq Dawood and Special Assistant to Pakistanis Abroad Zulfiqar Bukhari.
During the visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet President Gotabya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, according to a joint Foreign Office schedule.
The FO said, “The Prime Minister called on a delegation covering all areas of cooperation between the two countries, including trade and investment, health and education, agriculture and science and technology, defense and security, and culture and tourism. We will also lead the level talks. ” In addition, important regional and international issues will be discussed.
During the visit, the spokesperson said that the reorganization of the Sri Lanka-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Association would be announced to further promote parliamentary exchanges between the two countries.
The Prime Minister will also attend a joint “Trade and Investment Conference” aimed at promoting trade and investment between the two countries. During the visit, a number of agreements will be signed to enhance bilateral cooperation.
