Karachi, Feb 23: The Sindh High Court(SHC) on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction over the report submitted by the police in a case related to CNG cylinders in school vans and public transport.
SHC Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar was hearing the case in which the police presented a report on the action taken against the use of substandard CNG cylinders in vehicles.
The court expressed frustration over the non-appearance of any of the representatives of IG Sindh and expressed distrust in the report. Justice Mazhar remarked, “If the law officers do not appear in court, they will summon the IG personally at the next hearing.”
During the hearing, the Assistant Advocate General informed the court that the punishment and fine for violators has been increased as per the rules.
The court directed the authorities to continue cracking down on the use of CNG cylinders in school vans and public transport and adjourned the hearing till April 6.
