ISLAMABAD, Feb 23): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday accused the government of being involved in elections and votes theft and said that everyone, including lawmakers, was sick of the ruling party.

Talking to media outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), he said that the by-elections in NA-75 were rigged by the government as the ECP itself had said that the elections in this constituency were rigged.

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the government was now trying to hide its face after the rigging plan was exposed. He also demanded that the hearing in the ECP be held in public.

The PML-N leader further said that now the parliament is paralyzed while the anti-graft watchdog itself is involved in corruption. The judiciary is now a joke as lawyers have been boycotting courts in Islamabad for more than a week and the cases of 10 federal ministers and three former prime ministers are being heard.
